Studies show that Bees first
appeared around 130 million years ago, that means that Bees and Dinosaurs lived together, side by side for at least 35 million years! That’s un-bee-lievable! Bees are so incredibly important to life on Earth. As a type of pollinator, bees drink the sweet nectar of flowers and move between the flowers transferring pollen as they go. This pollen then fertilises different species of plants enabling them to produce fruit and seeds. Without Bees we wouldn’t have strawberries, tomatoes, potatoes, coffee, chocolate or even cotton.
