& Brown, part of TVD Group, is a British TV brand that puts the UK customer at the heart of everything it does. In 2016, the two brothers created their own exclusive TV brand, named ‘Mitchell & Brown,’ combining their father’s surname and Jim’s mother’s maiden name. Offering a range of TVs developed for UK consumers, the UK focus continues through retail and customer service, with Mitchell & Brown exemplifying the local ethos, family values, and unrivalled customer support that many of its trusted high street retailers have built their success on.
Establishing a retail channel We have a team of field sales executives who service all our independent retailers up and down the country. The team are in regular contact with dealers, keeping retailers up to date with the latest models, stock, and prices, as well as highlighting our latest consumer promotions and PR coverage in national magazines. Our approach to the challenging retail market situation is the unwavering provision of top-tier customer service to our retailers. We bolster this support through comprehensive year-round marketing initiatives, including tailored in-store displays, indoor POS materials, collaborative local advertising efforts, and of course our successful Morrisons campaign driving traffic to our retailers. The launch of the TVD Experience Centre in 2023 marked a significant milestone, offering a captivating display of the newest Mitchell & Brown models to the trade, as well as showcasing our AV solutions for commercial projects. Last year, we introduced the Mitchell & Brown 40” FHD model and the Big Button Remote further enhanced accessibility for our demographic.
Some of our most popular products include our high-performance QLED range, which garners high demand due to its exceptional quality and performance. The QLED models allowed us to compete for picture performance with the biggest name brands, ensuring our retailers could sell Mitchell & Brown on performance as well as convenience and customer support.
Innovative solutions With our retail channel firmly established with independent retailers, our consumers are seeking easy accessibility, where products are hassle-free to use. Clear video quality with near- borderless design has become increasingly desirable, with aesthetics playing a significant role in consumer preferences – a TV has to look

as good off as it does on these days! There’s a noticeable transition towards larger screens, reflecting a preference for immersive viewing experiences at any age demographic. We have tailored our product offering to evolving consumer preferences with the introduction of the Big Button Remote, designed for enhanced accessibility. Additionally, our borderless range of products exemplifies our commitment to aesthetics. Our decision to introduce the 40” model after feedback from retailers enabled us to identify a gap in the market for this particular screen size. These strategic adjustments show our dedication to providing innovative solutions for our valued customers.
Looking ahead With the summer of sport on the horizon there is a heightened demand for large- screen models such as our 65” UHD models. Homes are expected to invest in TVs to host gatherings and showcase major sporting events such as the Olympics and UEFA European Championships, and these big screen TVS are ideal. The popularity of smart functionality and apps like YouTube for TV viewing continues to rise, catering to the increasing preference for convenient and versatile entertainment options. Additionally, voice control remains a favoured feature among consumers. Interestingly, there’s a potential re- emergence of standalone DVD players, spurred by customer feedback, particularly among our demographic aged 65 and above.
In 2024 we are set to unveil the JB-DVD1811
DVD Player which is estimated for launch in late March. We are keen to fill gaps in the market identified by our retailers, and there is a latent demand for DVD players now many manufacturers have dropped the category. In Q2 we are launching the Symphony BAR- 400 Sound Bar as well as a new 43” Full HD borderless TV. Having transitioned to an Employee-Owned company in 2023, we are continuing to build upon the solid foundation laid since our inception seven years ago. Our commitment to providing unparalleled customer service while continuously evolving our TV range remains steadfast. Additionally, we anticipate introducing new accessories to enhance the Mitchell & Brown experience. The future holds great promise and excitement as we continue to innovate and expand our product line to better serve our valued customers and retail partners alike.
