Feature: Home Laundry
A collaborative effort R
AEG and its parent company, Electrolux Group, highlight the importance of working with retailers following the launch of new products.
etailers are a huge part of our business, and one of the key reasons the past
few years have been such a success. We have an omni-channel reach across our retail partners, ranging from the largest nationals to our all-important independents. The range of products that are available in each location differ slightly based on retailer selection, but our most energy efficient and core range of products are universally available throughout all electrical retailers. We work across the entire retail landscape but have invested significantly in our independent network of trade partners over the past few years and see no sign of this slowing down in the future.
Retailers are an important touchpoint for the consumer and influential in the buyer decision. Through in-person advice or demonstrations of products in-store, we continue to support all our retail partners. As we continue to launch new products and drive brand awareness, a huge part of training is to ensure that there are a multitude of opportunities for retailers to engage with us and learn about new product features and benefits. We do this through tradeshow conferences, local group meetings and retail store locations, and have even hosted retailers at our showroom for hands-on product training. We continue to provide training materials and advice through our dedicated teams that engage with retailers as new products are developed and trends emerge with our consumers. As we develop our home laundry offering, we continue to look at
consumer pain points which contributes to our development of new products. Recent research showed that over three-
quarters (88%) of our customers want brands to help them be more environmentally friendly. We also know that 85% of the global impact of an appliance, during its lifespan, is generated when it’s being used in the home by consumers. From this research, it’s clear that our consumer’s awareness and consideration of energy use has increased significantly in recent years, and that the majority of consumers (93%) are making an effort to reduce their energy usage. Therefore, as a business we are constantly developing new technologies that allow a reduction in energy use. The AEG EcoLine, an accreditation which
we have had independently verified, helps the consumer to see quickly and easily which of our products are the most eco-friendly, with the most energy efficient uses and features. Our latest laundry range of washing machines, washer dryers and tumble dryers were all designed with sustainability at the forefront. Some of our most technologically advanced models include: • AEG 9000 Series AbsoluteCare® Washing Machine • AEG 9000 Series AsboluteCare® Plus 9kg Head Pump Tumble Dryer • AEG 8000 Series PowerCare® Condenser 8kg Washer Dryer • AEG 7000 ProSteam® UniversalDose 8kg Washing Machine • AEG 6000 ProSense ® 9kg Washing Machine The new 9000 Series AbsoluteCare® 8kg
