effi ciency is also a key consideration, with 53% of consumers will prioritise energy effi ciency in their next appliance purchase. 6000 ProSense® 10 kg Washing Machine
with MaxWash is a powerful programme which washes even a full machine load at 30°C, in just 45 minutes. Ideal for typical, lightly soiled, everyday clothes, mixed fabrics and coloured cottons. For even faster washes, opting for TimeSave programme off ers more fl exibility, with the option to reduce the duration of a cycle up to two times. Alternatively, Steam technology off ers as a quick and eff ective way to refresh clothes without the need for a full wash, while also helping to reduce water and energy consumption. As seen on Series 7000 ProSteam® Washing
Machine, Steam Refresh cycle is designed to reduce odours and creases, in just short cycle of 25 minutes.2
of water per a cycle, making this setting an effi cient option for busy households. For everyday loads and consumers seeking
eff ortless laundry care, selected washing machines off er MixLoad 69, a 69-minute programme that adjusts energy usage based on load weight, delivering eff ective clean on mixed loads at just 30°C. For drying, MixDry, available on selected tumble dryers, evenly dries synthetic and cotton garments evenly dried without overdrying or underdrying.3
Fabric Care As laundry habits shift towards larger and faster loads, consumers are also becoming increasingly conscious of how to care for their clothes, and how this aff ects the longevity of their wardrobe. Three quarters (76%) of tumble dryer owners
are cautious about drying wool, and nearly half (49%) avoid it entirely. Similar concerns extend to silk, duvets, and outdoor gear. This caution extends to other fabrics and garments. 62% are reluctant to tumble down jackets, 57% duvets, 64% outdoor wear and 69% silk.4 Despite being confi dent in their appliance
knowledge, many consumers face knowledge gaps that can hinder decisions that support better garment care. In Truth About Laundry 2024 report, 84% said they care about looking after their clothes, yet only a quarter (25%) of people understood how washing aff ects garment longevity.5 When asked what they would be prepared
to do more if it meant their clothes lasted longer; Over half (52%) would wash at lower temperatures, however 38% would wear clothes more often between washes and 43% would wash full loads more often.
Autumn 2026 Today’s consumers are more aware of how
laundry aff ects clothing lifespan and quality. This awareness fuels a shift towards more mindfulness, specialised fabric care -seeking eff ective cleaning while protecting garments.

Every AEG washer dryer carries Woolmark Blue certifi cation, with drum motion adapted to the fabric type.
AutoDose and UniversalDose Drawer With precise care, using correct detergents and dosage can make a real diff erence to every wash. Selected AEG appliances include helpful features to assist with dosage, and ensuring every item of clothing has full coverage. For example, AEG AutoDose technology on
selected 6000 and 7000 series automatically measures the laundry and dispenses the precise amount of detergent and softener needed for each wash. This helps prevent both over and under-dosing, reducing detergent build-up in the machine while ensuring clothes receive the right level of care. AEG’s UniversalDose drawer, featured on the 7000 ProSteam® UniversalDose 10 kg Washing Machine, is designed to work with any detergent, including liquid detergent, powder and PODS®. It helps optimise detergent activation and distribution for an eff ective wash, while also keeping the drawer easier to clean and therefore maintain.
