Product News Ansell extends Xpress capability

Leading lighting manufacturer Ansell Lighting has extended its popular Xpress capability across two further product ranges.

D

esigned to speed up installation and simplify retrofit upgrades, Ansell has applied the Xpress clip-in system - which enables emergency and microwave sensor functionality to be added quickly and easily to standard products – to its Disco Evo bulkhead and Nouline batten. The updated products feature clearly labelled gear trays with dedicated press and clip

connection points, allowing Xpress Emergency Pack and Xpress Microwave Sensors to be installed in seconds.

Developed to give installers more flexibility and to speed up project upgrades, Xpress removes the need for tools - the packs are simply pushed into place and the wires connected. Hugely beneficial for wholesalers too, Ansell’s new Xpress system enables them to reduce the number of SKUs they need to hold without limiting customer choice. By stocking the standard Disco Evo Xpress and Nouline Xpress products alongside the separate clip-in packs, customers still have the freedom to add emergency or sensor functionality as and when needed.

Nouline Xpress is a high performance LED batten designed for indoor use, available in three lengths and offering CCT and power selectability with multiple conduit entry and BESA fixing points. It features a high transmittance polycarbonate diffuser, delivering excellent light

uniformity and ensuring consistent illumination and glare reduction.

The Disco Evo Xpress is a slim, modern bulkhead, suitable for residential, commercial and industrial applications as well as ancillary areas, which offers 145lm/W, CCT selectable between 3000K, 4000K and 6500K, and a choice of three outputs in one luminaire. Available with an opal diffuser and white trim ring, with optional chrome, satin chrome or graphite trim ring accessories.

engineering challenges British brand Maun Industries designs and manufactures specialist pliers and tools that help professional overcome everyday challenges with greater precision, comfort and efficiency.

A

t the heart of many of Maun’s most popular products is a unique, parallel-action jaw design. Unlike conventional pliers, Maun’s jaws always move in parallel, providing a more secure grip and greater control across a wide range of applications.

This innovative design offers several important benefits. The parallel jaws grip more effectively, particularly on nuts, bolts and other flat-sided components, or metal sheet, helping to reduce slippage and improve accuracy. They also make straightening wire significantly easier, as it can be manipulated more effectively between the parallel jaws. Maun’s best-selling parallel pliers also feature a high-leverage side cutter that multiplies hand force by up to twenty-five times. The result is a more

comfortable user experience, reducing hand fatigue during repetitive tasks and improving productivity throughout the working day.

Designed to perform in demanding industrial environments, Maun’s specialist pliers are manufactured from high-grade steel and precision engineered to deliver exceptional durability, reliability and a long service life. Combining robust construction with ergonomic performance to provide a solution that is both practical and cost- effective, every tool is designed with the end user in mind.

Among the company’s most popular products are its Flat Nose Parallel Pliers, Side Cutter Parallel Pliers and Smooth Jaws Flat Nose Parallel Pliers. Each has been developed to solve specific challenges faced by engineers and technicians,

delivering precise handling, superior grip and consistent performance in applications where accuracy matters.

Behind every Maun tool is a highly skilled team of engineers, machinists and assemblers based at the company’s Nottinghamshire facility. Working closely together, they transform high-grade steel into innovative tools that help customers work more efficiently while achieving professional results. Timothy Scholes, managing director at Maun Industries, said: “Our parallel-action pliers ensure the jaws always move in parallel, so users benefit from a stronger grip, greater precision and improved comfort, particularly during repetitive tasks. It is a simple concept, but one that delivers significant advantages in real-world www.maunindustries. com / 01623 554599
