Time flies!
he end of the year is looming large as we edge into November, and though it’s typically said that things happen an awful lot quicker on the other side of Christmas, it seems as though the time between then and now is speeding up, too! The fact that it’ll be 2020 in fewer than two months is, frankly, quite terrifying. Luckily, our November issue is packed with
T
features, comments and more to banish the impending-end-of-the-decade blues. Our cover story this month comes from
Knightsbridge, which has just unveiled its most innovative LED panel to date, and takes a deep dive into why it’s so versatile [p10]. Elsewhere, Greenbrook examines the role
of the contractor and the manufacturer when it comes to those critically important emergency lighting specifications [p16], and CP Electronics walks us through the connection between lighting controls and wellbeing [p19]. Univolt’s David Mattin takes a look at what’s in the works for the company, with plans extending to strengthening its UK presence and the launch of new products [p23]. The Smart Home revolution is on the agenda for Richard Brown of Electrorad, who details the rise of electric heating in the Smart sphere
NEWS 5
[p26], and Insignia details how the humble bathroom may soon be a tech-hub in the home. Additionally, the Electrical Wholesaler
Awards are now only six months away [p31]! For 2020, we’ll be unveiling the winners in a dazzling ceremony at the Chelsea Harbour Hotel in London, on May 21st. Now is the time to nominate the best and brightest in the industry, and we have a host of new categories and opportunities this time around, with the wholesaler sector being more involved than ever before in a refreshed decision-making process. The event is the perfect time to network
and reward your team (as well as enjoy some top notch food and comedy), and I look forward to seeing you all there. So, enjoy the issue – and don’t forget to nominate!
