Electric fans: the design that lies beneath
A 4in fan is oſten seen as a standard, even simple piece of kit but leading ventilation manufacturers work extremely hard on fan design and technology to achieve high performance fans that are simple to install and easy to operate. ith so many brands and options available, what should wholesalers stock when it comes to fans? With different electricians opting for different price points depending
on whether they are cost or quality driven, it can make selecting which brands to offer them a bit of a headache. According to a survey commissioned by
Vent-Axia, electricians fall evenly into two categories; 50% of electricians were ‘price driven’ and 50% chose quality over price. Whilst price-driven electricians may think it is a good idea to install the cheapest fans on the market to offer households the lowest price possible for a job, this can prove to be a false economy, leading to more call outs and product failures which ultimately damages reputations and costs more money in the long run.
