Thorn’s Equaline linear system brings a contemporary edge to any installation

Halve the install time with Scolmore’s Fast

Fit Connectors Scolmore’s new 20A 3-and-4-Pole Fast Fit Flow Connectors feature push-in, low maintenance terminals to offer a time-saving benefit for the installer, with no screws required. In a speed test carried out by Scolmore, the installation times were compared for their new fast fit connectors, versus the equivalent screw terminal version and typically the fast-fit versions were completed in around half the time. The new product launch comes after the results of a recent survey carried out among more than

400 electricians revealed that 33% prefer lever type wiring connectors and that over 50% would be willing to pay a premium for a fast-fit connection method. Allowing installers to safely connect/disconnect luminaires or appliances in areas that require quick installation and regular maintenance, the new fast-fit connectors will be suitable for a range of applications. Scolmore’s Flow Connector range makes the wiring of a lighting circuit easy, using a combination of

connectors, hubs and management boxes. The unique design of the Flow Connector products prevents the possibility of incorrect polarity connection, which is a problem with other similar products that are making their way into the market.

Thorn Lighting has announced the launch of the new generation of Equaline, a flexible, modular LED linear lighting system that lets you create the right solution for any space. The Equaline system provides a continuous row

of light to provide a bold and contemporary edge to any interior, whilst the homogenous appearance creates a quality lit effect that increases visual comfort. It also offers lumen packages of up to 1760 lm per metre, colour temperature of 3000K or 400K and colour rendering (Ra): 80. The optics provide a unified glare rating (UGR) of < 19, for comfortable, compliant and high-quality light and a service life of 50,000 hours. The Equaline system includes different lengths, shapes and optics that can all easily be configured using Thorn’s online configurator. It can create continuous straight lines, going up to three metres with no visible join, as well as L-shaped, U-shaped or square formations using corner elements. Lengths in increments of 250mm create continuous rows and special lengths of 600, 1200 and 1800mm are available to fit with standard modular ceilings.

Vent-Axia Celebrates 7th year Supporting Noise Action Week

Vent-Axia is delighted to have supported this year’s Noise Action Week with the launch of its PureAir Sense bathroom fan. Leading the way in silent fan design, this is the seventh year that Vent-Axia has supported Noise Action Week, which is co-ordinated by Environmental Protection UK to tackle noise problems in our neighbourhoods. Offering a solution to noisy extract fans, Vent-Axia’s PureAir Sense is the UK’s first bathroom fan with odour sense technology and offers exceptionally quiet running, operating as low as 19dBA. Designed to improve the air households breathe, the

Vent-Axia PureAir Sense is equipped with a pioneering odour sensor that increases airflow when the air is poor, helping ensure a comfortable living environment. When the

sensor detects a strong odour, the fan speed increases and quickly extracts the odour to help ensure the air always feels fresh. Leading the way in ventilation, the Vent-Axia PureAir

Sense introduces an intelligent, fully automatic humidistat for moisture control. This means the fan learns to run only when it can make a difference to IAQ. Continually monitoring and recording the moisture content the PureAir Sense maps the humidity profile throughout the year. This process enables the fan to run only when it can lower the moisture content in the air, reducing nuisance running and helping ensure a healthy environment.
