mnetics Connector Corporation will be exhibiting once again at Electronica, one of the world’s leading trade fair and
conference for electronics. The event will take place in Munich, Germany on November 13-16. It will be a good opportunity for Omnetics’ executives to meet existing and prospective customers alike at the company’s booth (Hall B3, Stand 110).
A particular highlight this year will be the company’s new Micro 360 Cat6a connectors. These connectors provide the reliability and ruggedness expected from Omnetics, while passing the signal requirements of Cat 6a. Using both simulation and measurement, Omnetics optimised the performance for Cat6a by implementing a novel 5-pin grounding strategy to these Micro 360 Cat6a connectors. This results in excellent crosstalk performance and it yields maximum data transmission, meeting the requirements of Cat6a per TIA-568-C.2. More information about these connectors can be found here:

In addition, Omnetics will feature at Electronica its latching connectors. Latching connectors are ideal in applications where reliability and durability are a top priority. Indeed, an easy-to-use latch system allows for easy mating and de-mating without tools, providing a secure and reliable connection at all times. Yet another highlight at the show will be the COBRA connector, a body-worn solution for dismounted soldiers and civil law enforcement. The COBRA connector is used for power and signal routing of electronics integrated into clothing; a key attribute of the design is the connector’s ability to slide through standard MOLLE straps on a vest. The COBRA interconnect system can be attached to standard MOLLE straps or integrated directly to the fabric. Various pin counts can be realised, handling up to 5 amps. Standard protocols can be supported from Ethernet, USB and HDMI.
