Advertorials Waterproof panel PC for demanding applications

The new INOX-F15C-ULT3 15 inch Panel PC from BVM Limited is housed in a monolithic 304 stainless steel enclosure sealed to IP69k, the most demanding environmental protection specification. Designed to be installed in environments such as the food processing industry, where it will be subjected to regular high pressure, high temperature washing, the F15C–ULT3 is suitable for other applications in the industrial, marine and pharmaceutical sectors where a physically rugged self- contained PC is going to be exposed to high levels of dust, water and temperature. The

unit is third-party IP69K tested with an 80°C 80 -100 bar water jet at 100 – 150mm distance at angles from 0 to 90°.

The fanless PC is based on the Intel Skylake ULT chipset running 6th generation Intel Core i5 and Celeron ULT processors with up to 32GB of DRAM. The integral 10 point touchscreen is fitted with an anti-UV protective coating. Two 10G LAN ports, two COM serial ports and two USB2.0 ports are provided as standard; the interface for all I/O is via M12 sealed connectors. Also externally accessible is a 2.5 inch SATAIII bay for mass storage. Expansion capability is a full-size PCIe Mini card slot, a full-size/half-size (PCIe x1 and USB 2.0 signals slot and a M.2 B-key slot. 12VDC @ 5A power-in is from an external 90 – 264 VAC PSU via a sealed connector.

Extension of the delivery programme for USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 sockets

In the industry data has to be transmitted fast and reliable between machines and peripheral devices as well as the technical administration.

For those and further areas of application company Fischer Elektronik introduced the standardised USB 2.0 sockets type A in 4 versions, type B in 3 versions and USB 3.0 type A in 2 versions in their delivery programme. The currently most installed types in the industry and multimedia industry are USB 2.0 type A sockets with article number „USB 2 A …“, in horizontal, vertical and in upright soldering technology as well as in horizontal SMD soldering technology which are also available for delivery from now on.

The USB 2.0 type B sockets which are commonly used as an interface between printers and computers are also available with part number „USB 2 B …“, in upright or horizontal soldering technology as well as in horizontal SMD soldering technology.

As an equivalent option to the USB 2.0 type A sockets and USB 3.0 type A sockets our article code "USB 3 A …" in horizontal and vertical soldering technology is also available with higher data rates due to 6 instead of 2 data lines.

For a machine compatible feeding the packing designs in form of trays and “Tape and Reel” are also available, depending on the requested quantity.

New Tensilica DNA 100 processor IP from Cadence delivers industry-leading performance and power

efficiency for on-device AI applications DNA 100 processor easily scales from 0.5 to 100s of TMACs for neural network inferencing in automotive, surveillance, robotics, drones, AR/VR, smartphone, smart home and IoT products

Cadence presents its Cadence® Tensilica®

DNA 100 Processor IP, the first deep neural-network accelerator (DNA) AI processor IP to deliver both high performance and power efficiency across a full range of compute from 0.5 TeraMAC (TMAC) to 100s of TMACs. As a result, the DNA 100 processor is well suited for on-device neural network inference applications spanning autonomous vehicles, ADAS, surveillance, robotics, drones, augmented AR /VR, smartphones, smart home and IoT. The DNA 100 processor delivers up to 4.7X better performance and up to 2.3X more performance per watt compared to other solutions with similar multiplier-accumulator (MAC) array sizes. RiLine Compact busbar A new electronic motor controller is now available for Rittal's RiLine Compact busbar system.

All it takes is a matter of seconds for the controller to simply clip the controller onto the busbar. Its easy wiring means installation costs are lower than those for traditional electro- mechanical devices.

The controllers use hybrid electronic technology, enabling both direct and reversing functions in one device. There is integrated motor protection against overload and short circuit, as well as fault alarms.

The electronic controller is only 22.5 mm wide so it offers substantial space savings over standard contactors and overloads. This in turn allows for higher busbar installation density, which can reduce the size of both enclosures and busbar systems.

The devices are available in the following three power classes: Motor controller 0,6A

Article numberName 9635.400 9635.410 9635.420

Motor controller 2,4A Motor controller 9A

Powertip’s 4 in 1, A-Series TFT LCD

Display specialist Craft Data are pleased to bring to the UK market their long-term partner Powertip’s new 4 in 1, A-Series range of TFT LCD modules. This new range consists of 3.5”, 4.3”, 5.0” and 7.0” panel sizes with each panel having the exact same pin assignment, connection method and drive characteristics enabling product designers to create a single display interface to accommodate all sizes. The panels include the V-Com circuitry and support a wide analogue power input of 5~15VDC, plus a long

life 50khr LED backlight delivers a sunlight viewing super high brightness of 1000cd/m² on the non-touch variants. 4-Wire resistive and the latest OGS and GG Projected Capacitive (including borderless PCT) touch versions are also available with both options also delivering impressive brightness performances of 780cd/m² and 850cd/m² respectively. The 4 in 1, A-Series TFT range is also supported by Powertip’s M4 evaluation board which includes the ARM Cortex-M4 STM32F429IGT6 processor.

Very compact 2 x 4in single output power supplies

provide up to 300W Leading power supply specialist, Powersolve, announces a series of compact, single output AC-DC power supplies designed to provide as much as 300W output. They a wide operating temperature range of -30 to +85 C (with some derating). The six model PSY280 series are open baseplate units with a tiny 2 x 4in (50.8 x 101.6mm) footprint and a height of 1.31in (33.5mm).

Operating from a wide 90 to 264VAC input range with active PFC, models in the PSY280 series provide single fixed output voltages of 12V, 18V, 24V, 30V, 48V or 54V DC, providing up to 150W convection cooled, 180W conduction cooled through baseplate and 250W with fan cooling. With both conduction and forced air cooling, a PSY280 unit can give up to 300W output power. A 12V, 0.3A fan supply is a standard feature.

PSY280 units are efficient (up to 92%) and feature a no load power consumption figure of 0.15W without fan. The power supplies are protected against short circuit, over current, over voltage and over temperature.

The units have a high capacitive load capability, are suitable for Class I and Class II operation and feature an extra low leakage current figure of less than 100µA.

The PSY280 series meet all relevant EMI radiated and conducted standards and have a number of safety approvals pending. Powersolve can also supply models with any output voltages from 9V to 57VDC, still within the safety approvals, but these may be subject to minimum order quantities.
