Advertorials PicoCOM A9X The latest member of the F&S form factor PicoCOM™family

All members of the PicoCOM™ product family are pin compatible and have a robust 80-pole plug connector. At a size of 40x50mm only, PicoCOM™A9X can offer the performance of Cortex®

-A9-1GHz at a low price.

The processor is an NXP i.MX 6SoloX (ARM® Cortex®

in NXP’s portfolio which supports asymmetric multiprocessing. Both cores (ARM®

- A9 and –M4). SoloX is the second processor Cortex®

-A9 and -

M4) are connected to the internal bus fabric and have the possibility to access all peripherals. The advantages of the M4 core are real-time processing and the interfaces are available immediately after power on.

The PicoCOM™A9X offers up to 512MB DDR3 RAM, 1GB SLC NAND Flash and 32GB eMMC, as well as an SD-Card slot interface. Other interfaces are 2x IEEE 1588 Ethernet, 1x USB Host/1x Device, 2x CAN, I2C, SPI, 3x UART, Audio (Line In/Out) and Digital I/O. A 16/18bit RGB interface is available for connecting displays; a resistive touch panel interface is available as well. A capacitive touch controller can be connected via the I2C interface.

Searching for a new USB-PD Controller IC

for your next product design? The RN5U700 is a versatile USB Power Delivery controller IC that is compliant to the USB-PD Rev.3.0 and USB-C Rev.1.2 standard. It can operate stand-alone but also with and external MCU for power negotiation. As for the power path control, an adjustable slew-rate control and discharge path is available when changing the VBUS voltage level. The RN5U700 has protection circuits embedded like OVP, OCP and OTP for enhanced safety. As for the external power

switches, the RN5U700 is very flexible and is able to drive N-channel or P-channel MOSFETs but driving an external switch IC is also possible. In order to control various functions, a 2 wire I2C interface is available. The RN5U700 is embedded in a 4 x 4mm QFN0404-24 package, evaluation boards and software are available on request.

The Queen commissions HMS Queen Elizabeth,

fitted with Oxley LED Navigation Lights The Queen was the guest of honour at the commissioning of the UK's new aircraft carrier - HMS Queen Elizabeth, this is the biggest engineering project ever undertaken by the UK military and Oxley is very proud to have supplied a full suite of LED navigation lights for both this carrier and the second planned vessel for the Royal Navy.

The suite of lights was designed and manufactured at the Oxley facility in Ulverston Cumbria. The LED lights utilise the latest technology and incorporate a built in health check system to enable the bridge team on the vessel to identify if a light is non-operational.

The full set of wheel marked navigation lights meet COLREGs and are suitable for any vessels over 50 metres in length. All variants are NVG friendly and suitable for use with aircraft flying on night vision goggles.

www.oxleygroup.com Powerbox’s medical power supply delivers power

and safety to healthcare facilities at altitude Powerbox announces the launch of a new series of power supplies for medical applications requiring BF (Body Floating) class insulation and full, reliable operation up to 5,000 meters altitude to power medical healthcare facilities and equipment. Complying with the latest EMI coexistence standard IEC 60601-1-2: 2014 (4th edition) and specifically designed with patient and operator safety in mind, the OBR04 series delivers an output power of 650W. The OBR04 is available in 12 different

voltages from 12V to 58V with an efficiency rating up to 91%. With a strong focus on ‘no interference and radio coexistence’, the product meets conducted and radiated EN55011 class B without requiring any additional components. Built to ensure patient and operator safety, the OBR04 has an input-to-output isolation of 4,000 VAC (2xMOPP), an input to ground of 1,500 VAC (1xMOPP) and a 1,500 VAC output-to- ground, when many conventional products offer only 500 VDC isolation.

Ultra-low differential pressure sensors with

I²C bus and 3 V supply First Sensor presents a new version of its proven ultra-low differential pressure sensors with 3 V supply and linearized I²C bus output. The low profile, manifold-mountable LMI series sensors with measuring ranges from 25 Pa (0.1 inH2O) Full Scale are based on thermal micro-flow measurement within the silicon sensor chip. Due to their excellent sensitivity, accuracy, offset long term stability and long service life, LMI sensors are ideal for differential pressure gas flow measurement in bypass configuration in HVAC and medical device applications.

The innovative micro-flow technology ensures superior immunity to both dust-laden and humid air. Additionally, there is no need to recalibrate or correct the sensor output signal when using long connecting tubes and input filters. Further, the semiconductor chip technology enables extremely low production tolerances and cost-effective mass production.
