E
stablished in 1992 and based in a 50,000sq ft facility in Brierley Hill in the West Midlands, A&T Enclosures
specialises in manufacturing and supplying high quality, bespoke, electrical enclosures globally for the low voltage switchgear, motor control, electric vehicles, renewables, and power generation markets. The company understands the engineering
expertise required for housing electrical switchgear in wide ranging environments, and every project it undertakes is unique. In fact, according to the company, having amassed a wealth of knowledge over its 30-year history, it knows a thing or two about electrical enclosures!
MEETING STANDARDS Understanding what compliance and standards need to be met for your enclosure and its application is an essential part of enclosure design – from the required IEC certified busbar to the correct environmental IP ratings. Added to this, the company understands all of the complexities associated with manufacturing high performing enclosures produced by a certified Coded Welder for nuclear applications, harsh coastal environments or wind energy, in mild or stainless steel. Fully design verified switchgear assemblies to

with confidence. The company’s experienced engineers are trained and do not leave the solution to chance or guess work.
FROM CONCEPT TO FINISH Capable of reducing manufacturing times while maintaining high standards, A&T Enclosures carries out everything – from initial concept, design and prototyping, through to engineering, preparation, fabrication and finishing – in-house. The company has a dedicated powder
coating facility. Here, the latest Nano Technology is used for the pre-treatment of steel to ensure the best possible powder adhesion, and there is a digitally controlled process for paint curing. Quality tests on a regular basis ensure the coatings are surpassing the life expectations required by customers. To help develop bespoke enclosures quickly,
the company has developed its own automated software which is capable of turning your sketches into bespoke 3D models. So, whether you are someone looking for your first hand- crafted electrical enclosure or someone seeking a 5000A 100kA fully certified switch board, the solution can be developed. The engineering team is able to produce
intricate drawings based on your requirements. Working with the best tools, equipment and thanks to long serving, skilled professionals, all enclosures that pass through the factory
doors are manufactured to comply with the highest industry standards and audited under the ISO 9001:2015 quality system.
INTO THE FUTURE A&T Enclosures continually invests in the future, whether through its ongoing apprenticeship scheme, training the next generation of engineers and upskilling staff, to the latest equipment, and training courses such as lean manufacturing and leadership skills. In fact the company also continues to work with local schools and colleges to champion young adults getting into STEM careers. A&T Enclosures has relationships with a
number of educational establishments and currently has six apprentices working across a number of different areas in the business. In 2022 the business also supported a
number of charity ventures, most recently having sponsored an event for Mary Stevens Hospice in Stourbridge. The business is also conscious of its carbon footprint and what it can do to be ‘greener’. As a result, it has refined its recycling process, working with two local ISO14001 registered companies to ensure that all metal waste materials are recycled efficiently.
