PROACTIVE MOBILITY PLANNING A DYNAMIC FUTURE
ROCKLAND COUNTY
ROCKLAND’S BUS SHELTER PROGRAM The Rockland County Public Transportation Department's Countywide Bus Shelter Program coordinates and carries out bus shelter purchases, installations, replacement, repairs, and ADA improvements. The Department also administers a bus shelter power washing program for all shel- ter infrastructure County-wide and coordinates with municipalities to ensure the County's bus shelters are maintained. In 2024, the Department repaired more than 30 bus shelters and installed several new shelters. Last year the Department also completed its bus shelter solar lighting campaign, having now retrofitted more than 130
