PROACTIVE MOBILITY PLANNING A DYNAMIC FUTURE
NYMTC Research and Studies NYMTC released the following research reports and studies during 2024:
2023 Travel Patterns Report
The Travel Patterns Report summarizes, annually and by each quarter of the year, the average weekday ridership on buses, rail, subways, and ferries along with the vehicular traffic crossing waterway bridges in the NYMTC planning area.
2022 Hub Bound Travel Data
This report presents a detailed analysis of travel to and from the Manhattan Central Business District (CBD) both by person and by vehicle during 2022.
Adjusted 2055 Socioeconomic and Demographic Forecasts

The Adjusted Forecasts accounted for the latest available population and employment data and will be used as data inputs for the New York Best Practice Model (NYBPM) and for the next Regional Transportation Plan.
Transportation Conformity Determination
The Transportation Conformity Determination is developed by NYMTC to demonstrate that its Transportation Improvement Program and its Regional Transportation Plan conform to the motor vehicle emissions budgets set by the State Implementation Plan (SIP) for Air Quality.
