Unlike mobile telephones, two-way radios operate within their


own infrastructure, so loss of signal or 4G doesn’t present an issue, allowing messages and transmissions to be received or monitored by any number of key individuals in those critical moments, so there is always someone available to respond.


Later this month, the company will be showcasing its products and


capabilities at the Emergency Tech Show at the NEC in Birmingham, alongside Hytera, one of the market leading manufacturers in the industry. T is annual event celebrates the very best in technological innovation within emergency services. Danny Vickery, Business Development Manager at Resound,


said: “Our customers are heavily entwined in the emergency services, particularly in the NHS, where we work with around 100 NHS sites across the country. We can deal with anything from a complete infrastructure overhaul for a hospital or off er multi-site connectivity for a trust, to two people needing radios for a particular project or event. “Very often, in large buildings such as a hospital that often


include basements and multi-storey car parks, there are remote areas where phone signal isn’t achievable. Two-way radios that ensure that lines of communication remain open, and any incident is immediately fl agged up, are invaluable. “We also work closely with security companies to provide them


with the hardware or infrastructure they need to work effi ciently and deliver on their clients’ requirements.” In addition to two-way radios, Resound also provides body-worn


cameras that give front-line staff and their employers the peace of mind that incidents can be recorded and reviewed later if necessary, protecting both the individuals and the business.
