Cycle Services
Expert knowledge combined with a passion for bikes
With the growth in popularity of cycling in recent years has come an increase in cyclists looking for high-spec, high-performance bikes – and the expert knowledge that’s needed to keep everything in good working order. Cycle Services opened earlier this year in Brackley,
Northamptonshire, part of the specialist vehicle and car workshop APS Group and with former cycling race mechanic Mark Akers at the helm. After recognising a gap in the market for a highly regarded,
specialist cycle workshop, APS owners Ed Jackson and Nathan Sammons teamed up with Mark to introduce an experienced and in-depth servicing and sales service that cyclists can trust to deliver the best possible standards. Mark has a passion for all aspects of bikes and cycling, and over
20 years has honed his knowledge of cycle mechanics and products, building up a trusted reputation and loyal customer base and is available to help with every aspect of the cycling journey, be it technical and mechanical questions, or sales and product advice. Cycle Services offers a range of in-house servicing options
including everything from a check and tune or pre-race check and optimisation through to a full strip-down, and from chain waxing and carbon repairs through to custom helmet or frame painting and ceramic coating. It stocks a range of some of the best-known and reputable
brands in cycling, including HUNT, DT Swiss, Challenge, Vittoria-A Dugast and Continental wheels and tyres as well as products and components from Shimano, Silca, Ceramic Speed and Morgan Blue. Mark said: “My passion is working on bikes, from checks and
repairs to complete custom builds. T ere are a lot of cyclists now who want something bespoke to them, and we can help them create something unique, providing whatever they need to make their dream bike a reality. “Whether it’s someone who just needs a repair on their regular
cycle, or a real enthusiast who’s building a bike virtually from scratch, we deliver the same high-quality service and treat everyone’s bike with the same level of care and attention.” T e state-of-the-art 1,300 square foot Cycle Services workshop
is housed in the newly refurbished Barrington Court in Brackley, ideally positioned to allow ease of access to good local road links and with ample parking for customers. Mark added: “Cycling is a passion for me and for many other
people these days. We love to get involved with anyone who is looking for a new bike or upgrading their existing one, or anyone who wants to just come in and talk about bikes.”
