3RS IT Solutions

Former apprentice becomes one of country’s youngest company directors

After joining Wellingborough-based 3RS IT Solutions as an apprentice as a 16-year-old, Ethan Malvern has been appointed to the company’s board of directors. Ethan, 19, is now one of the youngest company directors in the

UK, after being recognised by Founder and Managing Director Steve Souch and his wife, Marketing Director, Leila Souch, for his talent, his commitment and passion for the business. Ethan said: “I am thrilled to have been appointed as a director.

It means a great deal to me personally to be recognised in this way. At school, I was never really given any information about apprenticeships – there was always such a strong focus on going to university – but I never felt that was the right option for me. “T anks to Steve and the team at 3RS IT Solutions, I have been

given a solid grounding in IT, working my way up to Team Leader and then Services Operations Manager and now the board of directors, which is an amazing feeling. “We have a great team at 3RS, including highly skilled, profes-

sional engineers, who are trained to fi nd the very best IT solutions possible. For our clients, it will be very much business as usual. My role will remain very much hands-on, and I will still be availa- ble to support our clients in any way that I can – something I feel passionately about. T ese are really exciting times.”

ALL THINGS BUSINESS | 48

Ethan’s appointment marks the start of an important chapter

for the business, which was established just over two years ago. Since then, the company has continued to grow, employing four people in sites in Wellingborough and Nottingham. Together, Steve, Leila and Ethan have big plans for the company’s future including the opening of a new offi ce in Leicester this month. Steve said: “We couldn’t be prouder of Ethan and everything he

has achieved in the time he’s been working with us. When I fi rst met him as a 16-year-old, he reminded me so much of myself at that age. He used his initiative to secure an interview with me and his enthusiasm just shone through. “When I had to take time away from the business at the start

of this year, Ethan stepped up without hesitation, dealing with everything from accounts to marketing, and I could see the team was in very safe hands. I was incredibly grateful to him for his support. He has come such a long way in a very short space of time, and he absolutely deserves his success. “T anks to Ethan and the hard work of the whole team, we’ve

seen considerable growth over the past year, with many new clients coming on board and we believe that now is the right time to accelerate our growth and extend our reach and infl uence into other parts of the East Midlands. T e opening of the new offi ce is central to that plan, allowing us to create new jobs in Leicester, which is perfectly located in the heart of England, where demand for our services is high.”
