ODYMEL, a DJ and producer who burst onto the sce- ne in the early summer of 2023, is captivating dance floors with his electrifying blend of House, Techno, Trance, and Eurodance. Known for his ability to crea- te musical experiences that move crowds in profound ways, ODYMEL has quickly become a force to be rec- koned with in the world of electronic music.
His rapid ascent was solidified by viral hits like Gucci and a bold remix of My Favourite Game by The Car- digans, both of which have earned him spots in DJ playlists across the globe. Yet, beyond his chart-top- ping tracks and electrifying sets, ODYMEL stands out for his authenticity, vision, and the deep emotional connection he fosters with his audiences. His approach to music is not only innovative but deeply personal, re- flecting a unique sound that seamlessly blends diffe- rent genres and energy into something entirely his own.
For ODYMEL, 2024 has been a landmark year. Perfor- ming at some of the most iconic festivals in the world, including Dour, Pukkelpop, and Tomorrowland, his de- but summer has been a whirlwind of high-energy sets and transformative moments. Reflecting on these mi- lestone performances, ODYMEL shared his thoughts on the exhilarating experience of stepping onto some of the biggest stages in electronic music:
“Playing at these festivals was a dream come true. For years, I imagined crowds like these while producing my music—it’s always been destined for this kind of ener- gy. Every performance is about chasing that same fee- ling, trying to recreate that intense connection and give people an experience they’ll never forget.”
His performances aren’t just about showing off his skills; they’re about creating a shared experience, a journey that resonates with every person on the dance floor. ODYMEL’s infectious energy and undeniable pas- sion bring a unique level of authenticity to every set, making him a rare breed of artist in a crowded field.
Starting fresh as ODYMEL was about more than just a shift in sound—it was a rebirth. After years of expe- rimenting with different styles and musical personas, ODYMEL has found his true voice, both musically and personally. As he put it:
“I don’t see it as a shift but as becoming my true self. I’ve never felt so in phase with the music I’m producing and playing right now. That’s why the audience con- nects with it—it’s authentic. I’m not trying to be anyone else, like I used to do for years, and it feels so good.”
This shift represents a new chapter in ODYMEL’s life, where he is finally able to express his true self and create music that is raw, emotive, and deeply connec- ted to his own journey. “Authenticity” is a word OD- YMEL uses often when describing his music, and it’s clear that his sound resonates with listeners because it comes from a place of honesty and genuine emo- tion. It’s not just about making people dance; it’s about creating an experience that moves them emotionally and leaves a lasting impact.
ODYMEL’s music is a harmonious blend of multiple gen- res—House, Techno, Trance, and Eurodance—each ca- refully woven together to take listeners on an emotio- nal journey. “My main goal is to make people dance with emotion. I want them to feel a sense of longing for something they’ve never experienced or joy from memories they’ve lived. Eurodance, trance, and techno are the perfect tools to take listeners on that emotional journey. I aim to create a connection among people, where they ex- perience a range of emotions—from happiness and eu- phoria to sadness or even anger—while coming toge- ther and meeting new friends in the crowd.”
His music is more than just a backdrop for dancing— it’s an invitation to connect on a deeper level. Each track is crafted with the intention of evoking a wide range of emotions, pulling listeners into a collective experience that transcends the music itself.
“My music is a reflection of who I am—fast, melodic, bouncy, groovy, and happy. These words truly resonate with my personality. It’s also about bringing people to- gether, something I deeply value in my own life. I’m the type of person who loves connecting with friends from different circles, and I see my music as a way to do the same. It’s meant to unite people, create new connec- tions, and bring new stories to every crowd.”
ODYMEL sees his sets as a way to create moments where people can be vulnerable and connect with one another, a philosophy that has become central to his artistic identity.
“I’ve spent a lot of time in crowds. Before I started tou- ring, I challenged myself to attend as many concerts, nightclubs, and festivals as possible—not to party, but to observe and get inspired. I focused on listening, wat- ching how the crowd reacted, and translating those moments into my music. By understanding what peo- ple needed in those places, I learned how to craft sets that connect with emotions and energy. My proudest moment achieving this goal was during my set at Dour Festival 2024”.
A UNIQUE PERSPECTIVE
One of the hallmarks of ODYMEL’s sound is his ability to take a well-known track and transform it into so- mething entirely new. His remix of My Favourite Game by The Cardigans is a prime example of his talent for taking a pop classic and turning it into a dance-floor anthem. “Remixes are about taking something familiar and gi- ving it a fresh perspective. I love the idea of reimagi- ning a track and making it fit the energy of the crowd while still keeping the essence of the original. It’s about transforming something nostalgic into something cu- rrent, something that resonates with today’s audience.”
