Adventurous Ribble Valley couple Steuart and Anita Kellington enjoyed a spectacular jour ney though Patagonia in both Argentina and Chile meeting Welsh descendants, seeing whales and penguins, the Beagle Channel, Tierra del Fuego and walking amongst the high peaks of the Andes surrounded by glaciers. “The peaks in the southern Andes in the Torres del Paine National Park are spectacular”, said Steuart, “and look like granite chisels pointing skywards. We hadn’t seen peaks like these anywhere else on our travels. It was awe inspiring to walk amongst them. Being able to walk through a colony of thousands of penguins in the Valdez Peninsular was also a new experi ence for us.” Nowyou can shar in their adventure when Steuart and Anita present a lavishly illustrated lecture on Patagonia next Friday, October 31st, at 7-30 pm at Trinity Methodist Church Hall, Parson Lane, Clitheroe.
