so popular, we can now produce a meal of the day, which might be a Chinese inspired stir fry or a popular pasta dish. "New kitchen equipment has also helped us with fresh baking, so scones with fresh
cream and locally produced jam are now on the menu." The improved infrastructure behind the
scenes will be accompanied by a dedicated and experienced Front-of-House personality. A number of dedicated and regular food infused events are fast becoming highlights within The Grand's expanding entertainment schedule. Weekly events such as "Lunchtime Live"
and "Acoustic Cafe" feature live music every Friday and Saturday. overall winner was Alan Brierley, who wore a full "Christmas dinner" hat in a roasting tin, complete with turkey, roast potatoes, carrots and sprouts. Alan, from Longton, near Preston, took part in the walk with his son. In addition, there were three highly commended
adults. These were: Carl Darbyshire, of New Longton, Preston, wore a home-made tall decorated snowman hat; Shaun Fenton, from Darwen, wore a tinsel and fir cone decorated hat and his son, Adam, wore a wide red sombrero. All the winners were awarded certificates and chocolates.

launching of Sassoon and Bentley's debut album "Bacon or Pastrami?", recorded at The Grand recording studios laM year. Jeremy says: "It feels absolutely right to
return to The Grand on the weekend of the album launch. We had a great experience recording there and the venue provides the ideal stage for us to present the full, 12-piece show." A different variation of the show has been
wonderfully received in venues throughout the UK and features a winning blend of ballads.
