The Alma Inn above Laneshavt' Bridge on the LancashireA?brkshire border has had no expense spared in a thorough six-month renovation to add "10 ensuite bedrooms, a new function room and improvied facilities to the 283-year-old coach house. ^

The inn has been purposely-designed to host weddings and parties and is arranged as such to facilitate an event of almost any size.

Two large separate-rooms are inter-connected by glazed folding doors.which allow, guests to use , either one, or a combination of the two, depending upon their needs. ■ •

-

The character, soul and warmth of a traditional inn has been maintained to really put the place on the map.

- - •

With having a civil wedding licence and glorious views over the valley, the Alma Inn is the perfect venue to cater for all your needs on that special day.

.

Wedding events at the inn can combine the use of both the function rooms,.with the formal civil ceremony being held'in the lounge, followed by; a: wedding breakfast in the large garden room before returning to the lounge for the evening celebrations. -

For larger evening gatherings, both rooms can be used together, giving a party capacity of up to 250. This can be complemented by the use of the heated outside terrace at the front of the inn which can provide even more accommodation on a summer’s evening.

And if further, accommodation is needed, a marquee at either the front or the back is also an available option.

• .

The jewel in the crown is the air-conditioned garden room which, as the inn’s largest function room, features an open oak beamed ceiling and-vast glazing;- making for splendid views of Boulsworth and the magnificent vista the inn commands fromdtf hilltop location.

' - -

With a seated dining capacity suitable for 80 or buffet/party capacity of 100-120, with its own bar and separate entrance, this is a splendid room to host a wedding reception, private party or special event.

Dining at the Alma Inn is available in three areas - the stone floored bar, the oak panelled lounge and the new garden room. A full menu is available in each;

Lunch is served every day from noon until 2-30 p.m.,.except weekends when the kitchen is open all day until around 9 p.m. On weekday evenings dining is from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Managing director Lee Duerden said:-“Our plan was to ensure we maintained a warm and welcoming country.feel while dragging the Inn up to date with a new, fresh and well-appointed decor, and with oak beams, panelled walls, open fires and original features maintained, the inn has • surpassed all of our expectations.”

» -

“Many of the original staff have been maintained, including head chef James Harper who will continue to ensure we offer seriously good local ingredients and fare, cooked well, freshly prepared and made to order.”

With greatfood and wine, ; cask ales and open fires,

■ the Alma Inn is a realpub and a fantastic venue, situated in a great rural location.
