Valley firm is ‘top of the shops’

ONE of the best rural retailers in the North West is a Ribble Valley firm. Huntley’s of Samlesbury topped the

“Best Diversification” category in thi y e a r’s Countryside Alliance annual competition - a contest which aims to celebrate the best our rural communities have to offer.

Mr Tom Fell, leader of the North-

West judging panel, said: “This is a warm and friendly place which is giving so much to the local area, from lending freezers free to church fetes to having the fruit field run by a social enterprise group, helping less-abled people. This diversification shows the true spirit of rural enterprise.
