frame battled it out in the final with the Whyte Group - the only team to beat them so far. A courageous perform­


ance kept the score level until halfway through, when the Whyte Group’s pace and power proved too much as they broke the deadlock with a stunning strike. Ultraframe had a couple of chances, but Whyte’s attackers broke away again and doubled their advan­ tage. The legends watched on


and provided encourage­ ment and support for both finalists, and even physio­ therapy for the injured Ban­ croft.


CHIPPING have enjoyed a successful summer as they entered three teams into the Catforth and District Sum­ mer Football League - the first club to ever enter a team in each division of the competition. Under Dave Ross, the


first team had a superb campaign as they finished runners up to Catforth in the First Division, and won a thrilling match to lift the Barron Cup, defeating Plungington 2-1, with both goals scored by midfield general Will Yates. :' In the Second Division,


Dom Hester and Steve Proctor oversaw a mixture of youth and experience as the reserves finished fourth.

DOG Inn’s pre-season preparations continued with another crushing vic­ tory over Second Division Helmshore Harriers. The Whalley side netted


five times in the first half, with no less than four goals coming in the opening quar­

first two goals for the club, with Tom Bartlett, Darren Fothergill and Jamie Enefer also on the scoresheet. Helmshore’s solitary
