Singers seek new venues

THE A Cappella Singers are looking for new venues to fill their diary from Christmas onwards. The highly-acclaimed group of East

Lancashre singers have been performing for the past 12 years and helped raise many thousands of pounds, which have gone to various funds and charities. Working under their musical director,

Mr Andrew MacLaran, the group has a full diary, but some dates remain free. Apart from performing on the night,

they help in publicity, tickets and pro grammes.

They require room to stand and sit on

a stage or at the front, together with a piano or organ if in a church. Any charity or organisation which

would like to use the services of the A Cappella Singers and can have .an audi ences of 100 or more, should contact con cert organiser Anne Gray on 01254 884401, or Martin Sales on 01254 885365 or email: martindsales@ntlworld.com for further details.

AT an award dinner held in Cheltenham, the Three Fishes was judged the overall winner of the Best British Cheeseboard \vith their new innovation “The Length of Lancashire”. The philosophy of Kib
