A RIBBLE VALLEY landlady and her bridge- room tied the knot at St Michael and St John’s RC Church, Clitheroe. The bride. Miss Hazel Margaret White,


landlady and general manager at the Whalley Arms, is the daughter of Mr Leonard and Mrs Pat White, of Conway Avenue, Clitheroe. Her bridegroom, Mr Mark Andrew


Humphreys, a project manager at Alfred McAlpine Infrastructure Services, is the son of Mr Peter and Mrs Denise Humphreys, of Darkwood Crescent, Chatbum. Given away by her father, the bride wore a


white rose bodice with ivory, silk and gold scrolled highlights and a white rose skirt with sand underskirt and diamante embossed Estelle veil. Her structured hand-tied bouquet featured


Grand Prix burgundy roses with Hypericum berries and a trail of ivory. The flower girl was the couple’s daughter,


Lauren, who wore an all-gold dress with rose petals on the shoulders and carried rose petals in a wicker basket. Bridesmaids Clare White, Amanda White


and Nicole Marden wore burgundy dresses and held small hand-tied bouquets with Grand Prix burgundy roses and gold frame. Maid of honour Sonia Marden wore a bur­


gundy dress and carried the same bouquet as the bridesmaids. Best man was Mr Ian James Humphreys


and the ushers were Luke Conti, Ben Dolan and Lee Evans. Pageboys were Paul Jack Humphreys and Craig Humphreys. Following a service conducted by Fr Ware-

and Betty Hough, of Moreton House Farm, Kemple End, Stonyhurst. Given away by her father, the bride wore an


ivory lace-up bodice and skirt featuring fine embroidery and diamante detail. She carried a bouquet of calla lilies, eucalyptus and trailing orchids. Bridesmaids Rebecca Moon, Laura Whitwell,


Emma Hough and Kenna McArthur wore full- length cornflower blue dresses with silver embroi­ dery detail and carried bouquets of calla lilies and orchids. Best man was Julian Silverwood and the ush­


ers were Glen Moon, Robert Whitwell and Luke Dugdale.

Anne’s, Runaway Bay, Jamaica, with the ser­ vice conducted by the Rev. Thomas. They then spent a two-week long honey­


moon at the resort. On their return home, the couple enjoyed an

BAINES-WILSON


A HONEYMOON in Yorkshire followed the wedding of Tracy Wilson and Michael Baines. The couple were married at the Calf’s Head


Hotel, Worston, where the reception was also held. The bride is the only child of Mr and Mrs Guy


Benson, of Chatbum Road, Clitheroe. She worli as a secretary and an aerobics teacher. Her bridegroom, a traffic signal engineer, is the


eldest son of Mr and Mrs Keith Baines, of Wal- ton-le-Dale, Preston. Given away by her father, the bride wore a full-


length red satin go\vn featuring a fantail. She car­ ried a bouquet of red and cream roses. Matron of honour was Mrs Dawn Hodkinson,


and the two other attendants were Miss Emily Baines, the bridegroom’s daughter, and Miss Lucy Baines, the couple’s daughter. They wore ivory dresses decorated with red


trim and embroidered flowers. They also had matching shawls and carried baskets of flowers similar to the bride’s.


The couple’s son. Master Daniel Baines, was

A HONEYMOON in Mexico followed the wedding of Miss Sharon Clough and Mr Gareth Markes at Clitheroe Parish Church. The bride, a staff nurse and former pupil of


Clitheroe Royal Grammar School, is the daughter of Mr Peter and Mrs Irene Clough, of Pendle Road, Clitheroe. Her bridegroom is a prison officer, who is a


keen football player and supporter of Preston North End. He is the son of Mr George Markes, of Barrow-in-Furness, and Mrs Lynne Stables, of Preston. Given away by her father, the bride wore a


full- length ivory and satin dress with dia­ mante, crystal and pearl detail, which contin­ ued on the train. She carried a bouquet of bur­ gundy roses with crystal detail. Dame of honour was Joanne Dolan and


bridesmaid was Sarah Cowgill. They both wore burgundy two-piece dresses with crystal detail and matching stoles and carried ivory- coloured roses with crystal detail. The bridegroom’s daughter, Kira Markes,


acted as the flower girl. She wore an ivory dress with burgundy trim, carried ivory roses and a Teddy bear. Best man was Darren Clarkson and the


groomsman was Stephen Clough, the bride’s brother. Ushers were Kevin Dickinson and Simon Sherry. The Rev. Canon Philip Dearden officiated
