IT'S December and the whole world is looking forward to a new Millennium, but Whalley is
once again stepping back into the past. Local people are being TT>11 , £__„
invited to join the fun at V l l l3 /g e S IGStlVG Mr Pickwick's P a r ty Night on Thursday and get into the spirit of the past as they soak up the sounds and sights of a Victorian Christmas. The village shops will

can bring their tickets into the Clitheroe Adver

can shop in a safe and relaxed environment. On arrival you Will be able to pick up a free pro
gramme. If you want to stock
up before Pickwick Night, do not forget that the Thresher's store in Whalley is giving a free

every purchase over £5. And before- you go home, make sure you
