Workflows are becoming more global and complex, while security concerns are forcing media organisations to re-assess older tools

What are the biggest challenges facing the media and entertainment industry?

The demand for more content on more platforms across more borders is adding complexity to the media supply chain. Companies are tasked with delivering more, on tighter timelines, and often with limited resources. It’s time for new thinking when it comes to technology investments.

How is your company helping its customers to address the challenges faced by the media and entertainment industry? Media and entertainment organisations of all sizes rely on Signiant’s intelligent file transfer software to move petabytes of high-value content every day. Signiant software drives efficiencies for modern media companies, making it easy, fast and secure to access media assets on any storage, anywhere.

Media Shuttle adoption to over 1 million global end-users. The explosion of cloud workflows has also been a big growth driver as Signiant software now moves petabytes of content to and from AWS, GCP and Azure each month. What do you think are the main drivers in your market sector? At the simplest level, files continue to get bigger, workflows are becoming more global and more complex, and security concerns are forcing companies to re-evaluate older tools. Distributed teams are the norm, cloud is now a mainstream part of operations, and the streaming services driving more globalisation are all big drivers of Signiant growth.

What sets your company apart as a technology leader? Even as we innovate in areas that extend beyond fast file transfer, we continue to invest in our core acceleration technology. We were recently awarded yet another patent for our intelligent transport architecture, which uses machine learning to adapt to network conditions in real-time and is capable of multiple Gbps transfer speeds. Our investment in innovation, our leadership in cloud and SaaS, a commitment to storage independence, and our focus on the media and entertainment industry all set us apart as the market leader. We’ve also made multiple acquisitions this year that will accelerate our innovation capabilities and our path to delivering more advanced capabilities beyond file transfer, so the stage is set for a very exciting 2022. www.signiant.com
