CONVERSATION The sense of community that gave Focus/21 a palpable sense of optimism was at its height at the Cocktails & Conversations networking event with real-life encounters with friends, clients, and colleagues old and new. The industry’s leading lights enjoyed espresso martinis served from a Morris Minor. Overhead the From Earth to Sky aerial installation featured suspended agate and swirling leaves. The artwork acknowledges turquoise as a symbol of wisdom, protection, good fortune and hope, and epitomised the positivity that puts the Design Centre firmly at the heart of design.

Christmas lights in the spectacular Design Avenue. The much anticipated Twinkle of Christmas event was back, bringing together top designers and design enthusiasts. Citing Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour as one of her “favourite places to visit”, Tess wowed guests as she led them in a countdown. Evocative decorations featured a palette of winter whites, with miniature houses lovingly handcrafted to give a taste of traditional life. Trees were dusted with powdery snow, while nostalgic touches of fairy lights, snowflakes and stars added to the enchanting atmosphere.
