DE S IGN CENTRE

THE TAILORED APPROACH

One-to-one advice can be invaluable when it comes to narrowing down the perfect product. Use the Design Centre’s Personal Shopping Service and tap into a world of design knowledge, whether you want to source fabrics, furniture or a unique custom-made piece

Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour is a place full of simply extraordinary design – but with 600 brands and 120 showrooms to choose from at one address, finding exactly the right product can feel overwhelming. Take some of the legwork out of decision-making with the Personal Shopping Service, whose dedicated team can assist with finds and recommendations for design enthusiasts who don’t know where to begin. The friendly service is available no matter where you

are in the world, with Zoom or telephone appointments available for those sourcing from a distance; shipping can also be organised. Unlock access to thousands of products from the world’s leading brands, from fabrics and wallcoverings to furniture, lighting, carpets, tiles, trimmings, accessories, kitchens, bathrooms and more. With a detailed knowledge of the showrooms, the

team can help you navigate what’s on offer, whether you’re looking for one special piece or something more extensive. The team recently sourced lighting, mirrors and

furniture from Eccodesign Trading London, Vaughan, Circa Lighting and Andrew Martin for a client in Kuala Lumpur, working in conjunction with the homeowner’s designer locally and coordinating transportation to Malaysia. A Saudi-based couple used the service to source products for the sitting room of their home in London’s Embassy Gardens, including bespoke joinery to make the most of smaller spaces, with suppliers including Porada and Stark Carpet. For a contemporary sitting room project in Chelsea, the Personal Shopping team was able to tap into its gallery contacts from Artefact, the Design Centre’s contemporary craft fair,

supplying curated art from Cavaliero Finn and Made in Britaly as well as a curvy Piet Boon sofa from Tollgard and a brightly coloured bespoke rug from Jennifer Manners Design. Whatever the enquiry, great customer service and

a willingness to go the extra mile are universal. The service is complimentary, has no minimum spend, and is customised to your sourcing needs. “We love using our insider knowledge to help clients, and we’re increasingly working with people who can shop with us in the comfort of their own home,” says Gabrielle Grubanovich (shown above with her colleague Ella Power) who heads up the team. “No matter where the client, we take the same bespoke approach, and we’ll work as hard as we can to find the perfect solutions to any design dilemma. We’re here to make sourcing as stress-free as possible.”
