Quality turret slitters T

he TB3-T2 high-end turret slitters were developed from a concept nearly 30 years ago. In 1994, an international group requested Euromac propose a productive slitter with reduced downtimes to exceed its competitors.

Euromac engineered its linear guide tracking system where the draw group, slitting group, spreader roller, special idle rollers with loadcells and contact roller groups were installed on a frame, achieving a horizontally positioned contact roller. Due to the increase of diameter, the machine signal gave a feedback to set the frame into motion. The purpose of positioning the rewind section on to a linear guide frame was to reassure the web-length between knife-section and the contact rollers remained constant. From this original development, Euromac continued

Increasingly digitalised turret slitters will improve production effi ciencies.

to innovate the model, and the machines’ demand increased – and so did material applications, widths and diameters.

New solutions

The concept might have remained the same over the years but smart solutions have been added. These have reduced set-up times while automatic cycles cuts on labour. Items

The TB3-T2 high-end turret slitters from Euromac are appreciated by major players across the converting sector, and have been for a quarter of a century. Now with technological developments – and Industry 4.0 preparedness – its products will remain in that sector-leading position.

like recipe storage, cross-cutting, automatic knife positioning system, automatic web guide positioning, automatic tape application – on starting and close reels – automatic core positioning and many other items have all seen improvements.

Due to these automations, human interventions decrease but the output of finished reels is increasing drastically. Therefore, turret machines are more and more associated with automatic handling lines, including product labelling, packing and robotic palletising and much more. Euromac machines fully conform to the requirements of Industry 4.0, working closely with selected partners to realise made-to-measure solutions appreciated by leading converting companies. ●
