The Howarth team was delighted to be announced winner of the new Garden Products Supplier of the Year award. This award felt particularly significant as it is new to 2021 and was voted for by the public. Upon collecting the award Gary Froggatt, timber category manager at HTBS, discussed how proud he was to receive the award and to be back at the TTJ Awards in person. “Absolutely an amazing achievement, very proud on behalf of our team, who have all worked incredibly hard,” he said. “It’s been a roller-coaster time, so it’s a great experience to come back to a very well managed event and see people out there that I’ve not seen for a good while.”

The past two years have been a difficult time for the industry as it faced Brexit challenges, the Covid-19 pandemic, stock shortages, price increases, and an upsurge in demand. By working together, the HTBS network of branches was able to provide solutions for all its customers and help trade clients to keep their businesses running. The support functions worked closely with the branches to source the most in-demand products at the best possible price and keep customers informed of when key stock, such as garden sleepers, would be available. This allowed DIY and trade customers to plan their projects, place orders, and use their time efficiently.
