direct result of the reskilling, upskilling, and redeployment initiatives implemented in recent years, which are beginning to show tangible effects on the global workforce. Employers across industries and regions are increasingly

recognizing the importance of proactively addressing workforce and talent challenges. There is a growing willingness to adopt skills-based hiring practices and a more strategic emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion. However, significant skills gaps remain a key barrier to transformation in most industries and economies. This year’s report identifies emerging areas for further collaboration and action, including the need for dynamic job transitions across a broader range of roles and a critical examination of the balance between automation and human augmentation in the future of work. The decisions made by policymakers, businesses, and investors today will play a pivotal role in determining those outcomes for future generations.
