CENTRAL EUROPE | REGION REPORT
extensive experience in the lifting industry, who previously managed JDN’s UK branch. Walker’s customer-centric approach and industry knowledge will be instrumental in ensuring the success of the Middle East venture.
The opening of the Dubai subsidiary is
part of JDN’s broader long-term strategy to strengthen its position in global markets
while maintaining its family values. With regions like the Middle East showing increasing interest in advanced industrial solutions, JDN is well poised to capitalize on the region’s growing industrial needs, particularly in sectors like construction, oil and gas, and manufacturing. This expansion signifies JDN’s commitment to continuing its legacy of quality, precision, and service excellence as it enters a new chapter of international growth. The Middle East is an especially strategic
region for JDN. The rise of mega-projects in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and other major urban centers in the Gulf is fuelling an expanding demand for high-tech industrial equipment. By positioning itself closer to these developments, JDN can streamline its service offerings, shorten lead times, and ensure quick access to critical spare parts and maintenance services. This is particularly important in industries
where downtime can be costly, and where the need for efficient, reliable lifting equipment is paramount. The move to Dubai is part of a wider strategy to make JDN’s world-class products even more accessible to a rapidly growing market. As regional demand for industrial lifting solutions continues to grow, JDN’s presence in the Middle East will play an integral role in driving the company’s international success.
Meanwhile, Ketten Wälder, which has been operating since 1948, is also experiencing a period of significant expansion, fuelled by the success of its Cromox line of stainless steel lifting products. This premium range, which includes the Cromox Chain Hoist (CCH) and the Cromox Hoist Trolley (CHT), is designed to meet the needs of industries where durability, corrosion resistance, and safety are non-negotiable. The products are particularly popular
in environments like pharmaceuticals, food processing, and cleanrooms, where hygiene standards and reliability are crucial. These industries require equipment that not only meets the highest performance standards but is also able to withstand harsh conditions without compromising safety. The growing demand for these specialized products is prompting Ketten Wälder to ramp up production and distribution. In 2024, the company expanded its global inventory in key locations such as Germany, the UK, and the United States, ensuring that it can meet the needs of its diverse and growing customer base in a timely manner. Ketten Wälder’s strategic move to
expand its stock and increase availability in these key markets is also supported by the growing interest in the Cromox range.
