Efficient on-site operations Through Advanced Tooling and Robotics To support safe, high quality and efficient on-site operations, Framatome develops robust tooling and standardized processes designed for first time right execution. The Adaptable Welding Equipment (AWE) used during steam generator replacements at US and Canadian plants exemplifies this philosophy, enabling precise automated welding and improved reproducibility. Framatome is also a longstanding leader in nuclear
robotics. Its subsidiary Intercontrôle pioneered vessel inspection robots. A global robotics Center of Excellence was created to advance automation for inspection, repair and component replacement. It now gathers 90 robotics specialists managing a fleet of more than 120 machines. For ageing management, the company offers innovative
alternatives to major repairs. Its ultra high pressure cavitation peening process enhances corrosion resistance and mitigates ageing mechanisms, reducing the need for costly component replacement.
