Boots Sprucefield Centre has been selected as a finalist for the Advancing Independent Pharmacy Award in recognition of its clinically led transformation of community pharmacy practice. Over the past year, the team has strengthened the integration of independent prescribing and advanced private clinical services within routine service delivery to improve access to timely treatment. Operating as a pilot site for community-based Designated Prescribing Practitioner supervision and a participant in national research programmes, the pharmacy has combined service innovation with workforce development, delivering safer, more efficient and patient-focused care at scale.

BOOTS SPRUCEFIELD CENTRE LISBURN

Gribbin Pharmacy is selected as a finalist for the Advancing Independent Pharmacy Award due to its adoption of innovative, patient-centred technologies and service expansion. A standout initiative is the introduction of Alpha-Stim therapy, providing a drug-free option for patients living with anxiety, sleep disorders and chronic pain. Alongside preventative services such as weight management and travel clinics, the pharmacy has invested in automation to improve operational efficiency and free pharmacist time for consultations. These developments have strengthened patient outcomes, service sustainability and Gribbin Pharmacy’s role as a modern independent health hub.
