MCCARTAN’S PHARMACY NEWRY
McCartan's Pharmacy has been named a finalist for the Working in Partnership Award for its extensive collaboration with GP practices, healthcare providers, suppliers and community organisations to expand access to timely, joined-up care. Through partnership working, the pharmacy has developed private prescribing pathways, enhanced Pharmacy First services and specialist clinics including travel health, vaccinations and ear care. Collaboration has improved service efficiency, strengthened governance and reduced pressure on GP services, while ensuring continuity of care for patients travelling from across the region. This integrated approach demonstrates how partnership working can drive sustainable service delivery and improved patient outcomes.
BOOTS ANTRIM
Roisin Campbell from Boots has been shortlisted for the Working in Partnership Award for her impactful collaboration with Antrim Community Support Hub to address social isolation and health inequalities. Through structured BCPP programmes delivered alongside community partners, Roisin provided tailored health sessions for men and women, significantly improving health literacy and confidence. By creating a relaxed and informal environment, patients could openly discuss their health concerns. Her approachable style, flexibility and commitment have strengthened trust, empowered participants and embedded pharmacy as a valued partner in community-based care.
