Balmoral Pharmacy has been shortlisted for the Working in Partnership Award in recognition of its sustained and effective collaboration with community centres and residential homes to improve access to health and wellbeing support. Over the past year, the pharmacy team has delivered regular outreach health promotion sessions - including blood pressure screening, smoking cessation and weight management advice - directly within trusted community settings. Partnership working has strengthened early intervention, improved health literacy and enhanced continuity of care for vulnerable groups. Through shared planning, flexible delivery and strong local relationships, Balmoral Pharmacy has demonstrated how collaborative working can deliver meaningful, measurable benefit for the community.

BALMORAL PHARMACY BELFAST

This partnership has been recognised for its outstanding collaborative support of families caring for children with additional needs. Through joint planning and delivery, Ellie McDowell and Orla Baldwin established a structured weekly programme combining pharmacy expertise with trusted community support. The partnership delivered measurable outcomes, with participants confirming full confidence in accessing pharmacy services by the end of the programme. By working alongside additional agencies and adapting delivery to participant needs, the collaboration reduced barriers to care, strengthened referral pathways and empowered families to engage more confidently with healthcare services, demonstrating the power of integrated, community-based partnership working.
