COLORBOND brings world-class quality of pre-painted coated steel to transform buildings

Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Bandung

For more than 50 years, Colorbond has revolutionised building design by transforming workspaces and homes with long-lasting aesthetics. It has long been recognised as an excellent roofing and wall cladding choice for commercial, industrial and infrastructure buildings.

Combined with Thermatech technology, Colorbond also has Clean technology embedded, which resists dirt stains or tropical discoloration caused by a combination of airbone particles, heat and humidity. This prevents dirt or airborne particles from bonding on the surface of Colorbond sheets, allowing any dirt particles to be easily washed away in the rain to maintain a clean, vibrant look.

Design flexibility Steel roofing and wall cladding deliver excellent spanning capabilities for efficient structures, which allow for more column-free floor area, as well as integrate well with other building elements and materials. Roof pitches can be down to one degree when using an appropriate roofing profile.

Colour and profile choices The wider range of colours in Colorbond offers building designers and owners more freedom in their designs. Thermatech technology optimises the solar reflectance properties of Colorbond colours—darker colours in the Colorbond steel range perform better without changing their appearance, hence providing a wider selection of colours for property owners, architects, contractors and developers to choose from while still enjoying a thermally efficient roof.

Fast, efficient construction Mobile roll-forming means roof sheets can be rolled on-site in lengths of up to 100 metres, eliminating the need for lap joints.

Thermally efficient

Roofing and wall cladding made from Colorbond can assist in controlling the amount of heat entering buildings. In hot tropical climates, Thermatech technology in roofs helps buildings stay cooler by reflecting the sun’s heat. This provides comfort for building occupants and uses less energy by minimising the need for air-conditioning.

Strong and durable With its corrosion-resistant Zincalume steel base and baked-on paint finish that resists chipping, peeling and cracking, Colorbond delivers renowned long-lasting performance. It is also non-combustible, termite-resistant and weathertight (when installed to manufacturers recommendations). Colorbond also utilises advanced Super Polyester pre- painted coating technology to ensure that buildings stay looking newer for longer.
