CLEAN AIR - INSIDE AND OUT

AIRBUBBL DELIVERING CLEAN AIR WHERE IT MATTERS PROTECTING DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS

Drivers and passengers are protected by seat belts and air bags, but what about protection against the dangers of air pollution? Cars are not hermetically sealed; they leak air. When you’re stuck in stop/start traffic the air that you’re breathing inside the vehicle can be up to two and a half times the levels outside.

So the pollution is worse inside the car!

Worldwide there is concern about danger- ously high levels of Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) and particulate matter (PM2.5) in cities. Clean air technology company Airlabs put the concern for the health of drivers and passengers, at risk from exposure to high levels of pollution, at the forefront of their designs for a solution to this problem.

In November 2018 Airlabs came up with an answer: the Airbubbl air cleaning device to combat in-vehicle pollution.

The first thing that strikes you is the neat appearance of Airbubbl. The unit is placed behind either of the two front seat head- rests in a saloon-type vehicle. This is the safest and optimal position to deliver clean air to the driver and passengers. In pur- pose-built vehicles special brackets will position the Airbubbl.

Secondly, its features are impressive:

• Nano carbon filter: The unique activated nano carbon filter removes up to 95 per cent of Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) and other gaseous pollu- tants.

• Particle filter: The high-grade particle filter removes particulate matter efficiently. This includes dust, pollen, bacteria, PM2.5 and PM10. Depending upon the volume of driving and pollution in your area, you would expect to change the filter around every six months or so.

• Powerful patented airflow design: Vehicle occupants breathe clean air faster with Airbubbl.

• Powerful dual fan: Delivers clean air directly to the driver and passengers.

conditions from getting worse and reduces the risk of lung cancer.”

Airbubbl it seems, makes your vehicle a safer place to work and travel. So what do people who have installed Airbubbl have to say?

• Crash-tested headrest attachment: Attaches easily to driver or front passen- ger seat head rest using a high-strength strap and buckle.

• Mobile application: IOS and Android app featuring remote control and air flow management statis- tics.

We spoke with Matthew Johnson, Airlabs’ CSO and Co-Founder, who explained that Airbubbl could deliver potential benefits for fleet owners and drivers in two ways: - driver health and safety in the work- place

- offering customers a clean-air journey.

He told us: “More than 90 per cent of the world’s population is exposed to danger- ous levels of air pollution. In the UK 40 towns and cities exceed World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines for fine particle pollution. For those driving in these urban environments this can have an impact on their health.

“Airbubbl removes up to 95 per cent of these pollutants within minutes, far faster than any of its competitors. Reducing these pollutants by installing Airbubbl can have an immediate effect on driver-fatigue and alertness. It can result in 5 per cent fewer accidents and 3.2 per cent fewer sick days.”(1)

He explains, “Not only do pollutants stay behind in your lungs, they also enter the bloodstream, and are dispersed through- out the body getting into all vital organs. Long term, improving air quality reduces the development of respiratory illnesses, such as asthma; prevents existing heart

“I usually drive 80 miles per day. In rush hours, even with my windows closed, I smell the pollution. I used to suffer from fatigue and headaches, from Monday to Friday. Since I start- ed using the Airbubbl, even from day one, I noted the difference. No more medication for migraines…”

“This really works! It was very easy to install and I chose to have it directly behind my headrest on the driver’s side. It really is the answer to my prayers as I spend a lot of time in congested traffic in town [Bath – which is on the government’s action list for dangerous emission levels] and know that my health is safe- guarded.”

“I noticed how easily I was breathing when I got out of the car the differ- ence in the air quality really hit me! I can’t recommend one of these enough – anyone who cares about safeguarding their health should have one! I even tested it with a small portable 2.5 particulate monitor which I took with me and found it registered zero throughout! Amazing!”

This is just a sample of the reviews posted by Airbubbl customers.

Check it out: Airbubbl could well benefit both you and your passengers.
