HEADING REACTING TO OPERATIONAL CHALLENGES
Minibus World is a minibus specialist, leading the way in minibus develop- ment. Established by CVM World over a decade ago, we’ve built on our expertise in the minibus field to develop PHVs with an arrangement of custom modifi-
cations to improve passenger comfort, carriage diversity and driver safety. As one of only three Peugeot design approved minibus manufacturers operating in the UK, Minibus World brings the same exacting standards and quality applied to our approved design products to other vehicle manufacturers we which choose to work. Minibus World has recognised the increasing challenges of operating in the PHV sector and focused on the response required in what is a reactive environment; to both service passengers and offer protection for drivers. This is one of the reasons Minibus World builds its vehicles with diversity in mind.
Identifying in each base model, whether Ford, Peugeot, Vauxhall or other manufacturers, we design optimum legal layouts for maximum passenger carriage and wheelchair access. This is an increasingly important factor with over 1.2 million wheelchair users in the UK requiring transport, whether in a minibus, shuttle, lightweight, or other minibus vehicle variant in which PHV operators invest. We’ve designed our vehicles to be equipped with flexibility for multiple wheelchair user access and options for easy on and off loading of wheelchair-using passengers. Minibus World’s competence in design means that we’re just as comfortable delivering a Ford Transit 350 9-seater shuttle as we are a Mercedes Sprinter 17-seater with onboard lift for
wheelchair access. However, with diversity and flexibility of use in mind we have developed our Transit 350 with onboard lift to deliver capacity for three wheelchairs and three passengers (including driver) as well as space for luggage. We know this then provides our PHV operator customers a vehicle that easily pays off against the investment. The UK has an ageing population, with over 19% of people being 65 or over, so ensuring your PHV fleet is able to accommodate individuals with varying mobility needs will be key. We are confident Minibus World is the perfect partner to deliver the right vehicles to you. Like many other industries, the ongoing global situation has posed additional challenges for PHV operators, includ- ing an increase in requirements for driver and passenger safety. The rapid response to this has sometimes overly focused on the function rather than the practical use. Some screening solutions make for a negative impact on customer experience, damaging the likelihood of repeat hire. Minibus World prides itself on quality. Our driver screens are produced with the intention of protecting the driver from aggressive behaviour and increased protection from C-19, whilst maintaining a professional finish. The screens seamlessly fit into the vehicle build to protect the vehicle aesthetic and generate the best possible first impression to customers. Our dedication to deliver vehicles that: “Escape the ordinary” is just one reason our customers return to us, time and time again.
