STAR CARS CATTERICK AND A1 ACE TAXIS TAUNTON JOIN THE TAKE ME GROUP
Two more taxi compa- nies have joined the Take Me Group. Star Cars of Catterick, is a local family taxi firm which has been established for over 20
years serving Richmondshire and North Yorkshire. The firm has 42 vehicles including a fleet of four-seaters, minibuses and transport for disabled access and takes customers all around Catterick and the local areas. Take Me managing director, David Hunter, said: “I know Veronica and her team will bring new skills that we can all learn from, as well as our other taxi busi- ness leaders, sharing their best practises with her and the crew at Star Cars. “This is how as a Group we get better
with every single new company that joins us. Each brings its own unique skills, and together we become stronger.” Veronica added: “It has been a really good experience dealing with the Take Me teams so far. John [Gardner], David [Masters] and David [Hunter] have taken me through the processes and made everything feel very comfortable. I would recommend to other taxi own- ers to have a conversation with them to see if, like me, it is the right thing to do for your taxi business.” A week later, on 4 March 2022, A1 Ace Taxis of Taunton and Bridgewater also joined the Take Me Group. The firm is the largest taxi firm between Bristol and Plymouth. It also runs an MoT only centre, as well as its
own garage services. The business was formed after owner Mike Davis acquired A1 Taxis in May 2008, Deane Taxis in September 2008 and then merged with Ace Taxis in August 2009. Mike said: “It has been a great experi- ence meeting all the team from Take Me. I know that being part of a national group, but with a local focus, will really help my drivers and offer our cus- tomers a better service.” David Hunter said: “2022 is shaping up to be a great year, we have already added Station Taxis from Malton and now add Star Cars from Catterick and A1 Ace Taxis in the Taunton and Bridge- water areas helping us to cement our expansion plans. Keep your eyes peeled for what may happen in April!”
