back to it to stay in touch with what is invol- ved and expected at Fellowship level. Try to identify a mentor at the earliest opportunity, as they have been through the process so they will be your guiding light and can support you from the early stages of your Fellowship journey. It may feel over- whelming to begin with, but a few sessions with your mentor will enable you to focus on some early wins and priorities to boost your motivation and confidence. Keep writing, even if it’s capturing draft ideas in a journal to add to your evidence pieces later. It all leads to progress! Lastly, do look after yourself especially if

you are having to balance your Fellowship work with your career and family obliga- tions. It will be an intense time, so pace yourself and take regular rest breaks when you are compiling your file. A good rule of thumb is for every 40 minutes of writing, take a five minute break to stretch and breathe. I found writing little and often was healthier than too many unbroken hours at the keyboard! The only deadlines are the ones you set for yourself, so be realistic about what you can achieve, don’t expect perfection and balance your Fellowship with your work and home life. Pursuing my Knowledge Management

Fellowship has been a challenge and a priv- ilege for me. It gave me the space to reflect on my practice and growth as a leader. I recommend the KM Fellowship because it recognises the depth and breadth of KM as a profession. It challenges you to evidence your impact, sharpens your think- ing, and ultimately it positions you to drive the value of knowledge as an asset in your organisation with increased credibility.
