Matching solution automatically selects the carrier for that load and sends an email to that carrier with all of the details that the carrier needs to be able to execute and actually get the shipment. Instead of needing to manage all of this manually, it just automatically happens.”
• Our FlowLogix solution for check calls saves time.
“We have a FlowLogix program that saves a signifi cant amount of time concerning check calls. We’ve seen employees increase call volumes by 50%-60%. We taught FlowLogix to learn our pattern for making decisions about when to call to check on a load. With a typical load, you have certain times that you want to call the driver and check on it. The timing is based on when the load was picked up, how long the driver has been out on the road, the load’s ETA, the load’s delivery deadline, and other similar things. We built an automated workfl ow that puts the loads into a queue for making calls. The queue is constantly running and using the logic we devised to analyze and sort the loads. Members of our staff don’t have to determine what call they should make right now. They sit at their desk and they push a button that says, ‘Give me the next order,’ and it automatically opens up and says, ‘This is the call that you need to make.’ They don’t even have to look for the order or the phone number. They are getting much more work done in the same amount of time.”
• We use McLeod APIs and FlowLogix to automate appointment scheduling.
“We built our own custom FlowLogix business process automation solution for appointment scheduling. We have a number of customers
"Customized service has become a trademark part of our business strategy. If we didn’t have the foresight to make these changes when we did, we would be struggling now.”
who require that we schedule pickup or delivery appointments by email. The process of settling on the specifi c time frequently would take an exchange of four or fi ve emails over several hours. Also, the emails interrupt your day; they break your rhythm. You’re in the middle of doing something else when the email reply comes in. So, using McLeod APIs and FlowLogix, we built a custom web page that handles this for us. The solution considers the time options available and automatically emails the shipper. The shipper sees a nice, beautifully-formatted email that says, ‘We’re going to be coming to pick up this order from you on Tuesday. Please click the link below to schedule the appointment.’ When they open the appointment scheduler, it will allow them to schedule the appointment only within a certain time frame, such as between 8:00 a.m. and noon. The person at the vendor who is viewing this email would then select the specifi c time, put in their confi rmation number, hit submit, and then get our confi rmation number. All of that data gets stored in McLeod automatically. We don’t have to manually handle a single email, because it’s all done automatically through the FlowLogix solution. We’ve scheduled hundreds of appointments using this.”
• McLeod APIs and FlowLogix were critical investments.
“If we didn’t make the investment into technology— into FlowLogix, into the McLeod APIs, and into our own team so that they could learn
and grow with these tools—2020 could have been a terrible year for our business. Given that we did make these choices, we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel of this pandemic. We’re evolving into a more nimble company. Customized service has become a trademark part of our business strategy. If we didn’t have the foresight to make these changes when we did, we would be struggling now.”
