Mark Hunt is the Partner in Charge of King & Ballow's Independent Contractor/Distribution area of practice. Since starting with the fi rm in 1983, he has designed and implemented independent contractor systems for companies across the country and in a number of industries, including those involved in trucking, manufacturing and media/entertainment. Mr. Hunt defends those companies from challenges to the independent contractor status of their workers at both the federal and state level, under the federal and state wage and hour laws, the Internal Revenue Code, and state Workers’ Compensation and Unemployment Insurance laws. Mr. Hunt also provides antitrust advice to clients and litigates complex antitrust and wage and hour matters for the fi rm’s clients.
