EMILY POTEMPA
Emily Potempa has been named executive director for Churchill Place, an Anthem Memory Care community in Glen El- lyn, Illinois. In this capac- ity, she will oversee all
daily care, programming and operations. Potempa previously was executive director with Encore Memory Care in Bolingbrook, IL. She also served as director of resident services for Brookdale Senior Living in Lisle, IL. She brings over 12 years of senior living experience to this position. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Science, Technology and Society with a focus in Public Health from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN.
Michele Gannon joins the LCB Senior Living team with over 25 years of experience in both resident care and operations. Ms. Gan- non most recently worked for Salmon Health and Retirement where she gained a wealth of knowledge and outstanding reputation in the industry. Specializing in state regulations, compliance, care, home health and overall operations, Ms. Gannon is a welcome ad- dition to LCB following the retirement of current VP, Barbara Hamilton.
MICHELE THOMPSON
Retirement Unlimited, Inc. (RUI) has promoted Michele Thompson to Chief Operations Officer while Amanda Brooks, Jamie Houston and Jen- nifer Mohler join Ray
Tate as the newest additions to the Vice Pres- idents of Operations team. The company continues to grow as it has taken on six com- munities since the beginning of the year with three in development. Michele Thompson received this promotion, having most recent- ly served as a Regional Vice President of Operations for RUI. She has held several reputable positions throughout her career and has over 18 years of experience in the
field of senior living. Upon graduating from the University of Florida, Michele engaged her passion for serving seniors while working with dementia care residents. This experi- ence, along with her collective knowledge from extensive work in the senior living in- dustry, will serve her well in her new position.
AMANDA BROOKS
Amanda Brooks joined team RUI in 2018 in her role as an Executive Di- rector at the Aarondale community where she showed incredible initia- tive to follow RUI’s mis-
sion to deliver a lifestyle the residents have earned and deserve. Along with her promo- tion to Vice President of Operations, Aman- da is the acting Interim Executive Director at RUI’s Paul Spring community. With a Master of Science in Management from The Catholic University of America and a Bach- elor of Arts in Communication from Chris- topher Newport University, Amanda brings a wealth of knowledge and strong leadership to the communities she oversees.
JAMIE HOUSTON
Jamie Houston joined RUI in 2017 and has over 20 years of experience in both senior living and healthcare management. She most recently held the title of Senior Execu-
tive Director at RUI. She will be sharing her knowledge and dedication in operations to seven of RUI’s communities in Virginia and Florida. As a seasoned Executive Director for RUI, she is very familiar with the day-to-day operation as well as the extensive knowledge of current processes and procedures for RUI communities.
JENNIFER MOHLER
Jennifer Mohler joins RUI with over 10-years of ex- perience driving growth for independent living, assisted living, and mem- ory care communities. As a certified Assisted Living
Facility Manager, Jennifer brings extensive knowledge of community-level care and op- erations. In her new position, she will be pro-

STEWART INGRAM
Sagewood, part of Life Care Services senior liv- ing communities, recently updated their executive team roster with two in- ternal promotions and a new hire. Stewart Ingram
was promoted to regional operations manag- er for Life Care Services (LCS). He has been working with Sagewood and its parent com- pany, LCS, for more than 31 years and was Sagewood’s executive director for 17 years. In his new role, Ingram will oversee the op- erations of LCS managed communities in the San Diego and San Francisco Bay mar- kets and take a prominent role on the LCS leadership team.
ED SMITH
To fill the position of ex- ecutive director at Sage- wood, Ed Smith was also promoted. Smith has been with Sagewood since 2018 and has over 19 years of experience in the
senior living industry. Prior to his new position, Smith was serving as Sagewood’s associate executive director. Smith will focus on assuring resident satisfaction and managing the opera- tions of the community. He is committed to perfecting best practices and continuously improving the quality of living experience and care for all residents at Sagewood.
MATT PHIPPS
Sagewood has also hired Matt Phipps to assume the position of associate executive director. Phipps has more than 10 years of experience working for LCS, making him the
best fit for the Sagewood role. Phipps respon- sibilities include managing food and bever- age services, environmental services, commu- nity life services,plant operations, security and residential health services. He will also support the executive director in the daily management of Sagewood operations.
