Commonwealth Senior Living, based in Charlottesville, Va., has hired three new leadership team members. Monet Morris has been named senior regional vice president; she is a licensed assisted living administra- tor and LPN with a bachelor of science in healthcare administration and has worked at Brookdale and Sunrise. She was most recently market vice president of Rich- mond Jencare, leading four centers. Victoria Leitgeb, named regional vice president, has most recently been regional director of op- erations with Legend Senior Living and is an LPN and certified PCH administrator. Rebecca Sturtz, named regional vice presi- dent, was most recently regional director of operations at Five Star Senior Living for 13 centers in North and South Carolina. Also at Commonwealth, Amber Foster, former ex- ecutive director at Commonwealth Senior Living at Front Royal, has been promoted to regional vice president overseeing northwest region communities. Gary Pelton, former ex- ecutive director of Commonwealth Senior Living at Kings Grant House, has been pro- moted to regional vice president, overseeing eastern communities.

Schachter, with 20 years of experience in both hospitality and senior liv- ing, is a certified dementia practitioner and board-certified patient advocate.


Laurel Circle, a 202-residence LCS commu- nity in Bridgewater, N.J., has named Eric Eichhorst as director of sales and marketing. Eichhorst brings more than 15 years of se- nior living experience and recently served as the director of sales and marketing at a senior living community in Freehold, N.J. Also at LCS, Kelly Streck-Rider has been named director of admissions for assisted living and memory care at LCS Sagewood’s Desert Willow, a 44-resident community in Phoenix, Ariz.

North Carolina Assisted Living Association (NCA- LA) president and CEO Frances Messer has been awarded The Order of the Long Leaf Pine, the highest award for state


service granted by the state’s Office of the Governor. Messer has a long history in health care service, beginning as a care aide and then putting herself through nursing school. Deciding her heart was in the senior care field, she then became a director of nursing and a licensed nursing home administrator, owning and operating a nursing home. She is a Certified Director of Assisted Living

Sunrise Senior Living, based in McLean, Va., has appointed Nick Stengle as chief operat- ing officer (COO) and Tavinder (Tav) Hare as chief financial officer (CFO). Stengle brings more than 20 years of executive experience and was most recently COO of Kindred at Home, the largest home health provider in the United States, and is a U.S. Air Force veteran. Hare most recently served as CFO of retail real estate for Majid Al Futtaim, a real estate and retail operations organization with a presence in 20 countries and 44,000 employees worldwide, and previously at Uni- bail-Rodamco-Westfield, an international REIT with assets under management of over $60 billion and $14 billion of assets under development.
