RECOGNIZING THE HEROES IN ALL OF US


The Argentum Awards & Heroes Work Here Celebration, sponsored by Benchmark, featured actress Marcia Gay Harden. She read eloquently from her book, The Seasons of My Mother: A Memoir of Love, Family And Flowers, about her mother’s struggle with Alzheimer’s disease, as well as warmly recognizing the evening’s honorees. On the big screen, Argentum showed the Heroes Work Here video, featuring dozens of images and testimonials from senior living caregivers throughout the country.


In addition to presenting the 2021 Best of the Best and the Senior Living by Design honorees, Argentum was able to present a 2020 Hero Award, delayed due to the pandemic, to Vi’s Tamara Sawicz. At the opening reception following, Native American dancers and musicians displayed their talents, sharing some Arizona history and culture.
