Senior Lifestyle Corp., based in Chicago, Ill., announced the groundbreaking for The Sheridan at Park Ridge, located in Park Ridge, Ill. The community will offer 64 assisted living residences and 36 memory care residences.


Denver, Colo.-based Spectrum Retirement Communities opened Sycamore Creek Se- nior Living outside of Columbus, Ohio. The community features 132 independent living residences and 137,000 square feet of space.


Santa Barbara, Calif.-based Yardi® unveiled its latest update to the Yardi Senior Living Suite® with the launch of the RENTCafe® Senior Living Resident app. The app offers residents and families the ability for mobile payments and maintenance requests through iOS and Android devices.


Tucson, Ariz.-based Watermark Retirement Communities has partnered with private equity investor KAREA to redevelop into senior living a high-rise community in New York City. Watermark will manage the community—a 16-story historic building in Brooklyn Heights.

Chicago-based Charter Senior Living announced the addition of Jayne Sallerson as investor, part- ner, and chief sales & strategy officer. For the past 20 years, Sallerson


has served in various senior management roles; most recently, she was the executive vice president of sales for Benchmark Senior Living. The company also announced that Amanda Tidwell has been named executive director of Charter Senior Living of Hermitage located in Hermitage, Tenn.


Gardant Management Solutions welcomed Greg Echols as the company’s new chief financial officer. He brings to Gardant ex- pertise from a 30-year career in account- ing, financial management, real estate development, and senior housing. Most re- cently, Echols served as the chief financial officer of a Tennessee-based, multi-state operator of skilled nursing and assisted living communities.


Harbor Retirement Associates, headquar- tered in Vero Beach, Fla., celebrated the company’s 15-year anniversary in October. The company has grown to 27 communi- ties across seven states with nine more un- der development.

and acquisition efforts for the company, as well as for Senior Quality Lifestyle Corpora- tion (SQLC), a nonprofit that sponsors and operates life care communities. He most re- cently served as vice president of develop- ment for SQLC.


Watermark Senior Living welcomed Sherrie Predojev as community relations director of Market Street Memory Care Residence in Viera, Fla. She brings to Watermark over 30 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse with a background in mental health and psychiatry, geriatrics, rehabilitation, and home health.
