EXPERT ADVICE: HOW CAN THIS DATA HELP YOU? Youth

“Our people are our most important asset.” It’s been said so often, it’s become a cliché. But how much do you really know about the senior living workforce? At Argentum, we wanted to fi nd out more and dug into U.S. Census Bureau data. The resulting report, in Argentum Quarterly Issue 1 2018, is the deepest look we’ve had on workers across our industry. Some of the fi ndings might surprise you.

and technical schools as a primary recruitment source. Even better, consider internships, leadership programs, and tuition reimbursement to help recruit students—and keep them even after they graduate.

The Upshot

The charts here and in the full report are an invaluable snapshot of the senior living workforce. You can use them to better engage your own workers, and to consider how to broaden your recruitment base for your future workforce.
