curb Anglicisms. Equivalents to adopt include ‘joueur professionnel’ for pro-gamer and ‘passe saisonnier’ for season pass. Others don’t quite roll off the tongue – streamer becomes ‘joueur- animateur en direct’, cloud gaming ‘jeu vidéo en nuage’ and eSports is the cumbersome ‘jeux vidéo de compétition’.
